This book is very sad so if you dislike sad books or just don't want to cry during a book than this is not the book for you. This is about a Jewish girl in the holocaust. She hears and sees soldiers marching down the road with loaded guns. She tries to hide with her family as she sees all her friend disappearing. This girls name is Syvia. Now that was just a tiny preview so you can see how powerful this story is. Now I don't want to spoil the story so i will stop there. But I love how this story is layed out it is a very short read because the pages are layed out like a poem. I recommend this book for adults or teens but not for younger children because it is pretty violent and sad. From this book I took away that you should be grateful for friends and family and for your life.
