The book "The Body" was a very interesting, yet disturbing book. This book talks about the relationship between four friends and their journey to find a dead boy. Sounds freaky, right? Well, these 11-12 year old boys are actually pretty inappropriate for their ages. These boys smoke and swear like a sailor, yet they still have a small amount of innocence left in them. The boys hear on the news about a boy named Ray Bower and that he was missing. One the of the boys, Vern, hears his brother talk about him finding the boy by the train tracks and that he was dead. The boys decided that they want to go and find the dead boy. Throughout their journey they discover more about themselves as well as their friends. I would definitely recommend this book to older teenagers and adults. There is some crude humor as well as swearing and inappropriate parts. I really did like this book and I would definitely read it again.
