I was surprised that I actually enjoyed this book!! In the beginning it was a little slow, but then progressed as you got to know the characters throughout the story. Andy Dufresne was a banker and had a great life until he was charged with murdering his beloved wife. Andy's life would change as he was sent to Shaw-shank Prison. He makes a strong friendship with a man named Red. Andy keeps his innocence throughout the years and actually becomes the banker for the president and the guards of the prison. Red gets finally released from prison and heads to a special place in hopes that his life long friend, Andy will see him soon. Over all, I really enjoyed this book because talks about the strength of friendship and the courage needed to get through tough times in life.
