This is a very good book but it for older teens and even for adults. This is a very dark and sad book, so if you like happy books, than don't read this one. What this book is about is a girl that gets kidnapped by a man named Ray. He names this girl Alice and that is her name through out the book. Alice has been with Ray for 5 years and is still treated poorly and is treated like a girl. Ray beats Alice everyday and puts her in clothes for 5 year old causing her circulation to get cut off. She doesn't want to escape because he said if she escapes then he will go kill her family. Alice doesn't care about her life anymore, she just wants to be over. This is a very sad and dark book and recommended for ages 16+. I did enjoy the book but you have to like darker books to be able to get into it. The only part I didn't like is the ending, it was very fast and really didn't sum up the book.
